Oklahoma Lottery commission comes up with new lottery tickets

The Oklahoma Lottery Commission is set to introduce brand new lottery tickets. This will foster more winners and more money for education in the state.

“I need to win,” David Ealy told News Channel 4. Luckily, this just got easier for Ealy and all the lottery players all over the Oklahoma. And, this is all because of the latest changes in scratch and wins lottery tickets. Rollo Redburn, the executive director of the Oklahoma Lottery Commission, says that “these new tickets offer better price payouts. It is going to be a better product. Each player will enjoy this whole lot more.”

Now, the cash prizes allow for more winner is not the only thing. “There’s a lot more. All of our profits go to the state to benefit education,” Redburn added. In fact, this new law that was just passed, HB 1837, changes our law.”

On the other hand, Jay Finks, Director of Marketing and Administration said that 75% of people know that we benefit education. However, a majority of them think and feel that we weren‘t making a difference, and the monies weren’t having an impact.  This is why Oklahoma Lottery Commission pushed this legislation.

HB 1837 allows restructuring and guaranteeing that $50 million goes to the Department of Education. Any profit made beyond $50 million will enhance K-12 initiatives in several subjects, such as reading, science, and math.

The Oklahoma lottery has 1,900 retailers and outlets. And, filling all these stores with new lottery tickets is an eight-day process. However, the tickets are already on many shelves.
