Pete Kyle, the £5.1 million Lottery winner, blew his winnings in just three years. After spending all his winnings, Pete is forced to leave his lavish mansion and move into a £15-a-night hotel in Plymouth. He is also a retired Royal Artillery gunner.
Pete had lost his widespread mansion in 2008. He is now working in the Plymouth-based hotel. As per Plymouth Herald, Pete wasted £4,600 in a day on trendy cars, cash handouts to his kids, and house modification. He splashed his relatives out on a five-bedroom mansion including bar, pool, and steam room.
He guessed all six numbers right to win £5,122,412 in the Lotto draw on January 29, 2005. Pete then scooped a further £500 two days later when he celebrated his jackpot win at Mecca Bingo. “I have always had a bit of luck of the Irish,” he said during the win.
However, the retired Royal Artillery gunner is now reportedly broke and on benefits after he scooped the jackpot.
