The $1 million jackpot split into two Wayne County residents

Two ticket holders from Wayne County scooped $1 million from Michigan Lottery (Triple Millions) scratch-off game. To confirm the same, they visited Michigan Lottery headquarters located in Lansing. They bought their tickets from One Stop Liquor, at 33439 Ford Road in Garden City.

The players, who chose to remain anonymous, formed Rags to Riches Lottery Club which will help them to split the winnings and buy tickets together. “I started scratching the ticket and immediately saw the ‘Cash’ symbol, so I know I had won. I wrapped up the numbers off on the card, and afterwards, I scratched the prize range off. It was so incredible to see the ‘1MIL’ image,” a player said.

Instead of collecting the annuity, both the winners preferred to receive their prize as one-time lump sum payment of about $634,000. So, each of them received $317,000 before income tax withholdings.
