Saturday’s 3,000th Mega Lotto draw is carrying a jackpot of €4.5 million. National Lottery Lotto, celebrating its 3,000th draw this Saturday (February 3rd), has transformed many Irish lives over the years.

The first Lotto draw was held on Saturday, 16th April 1988. There have been 1,738 Lotto prize (jackpot and non-jackpot) winners, including 745 jackpot prizes exceeding €1 million. The sales of Lotto games over the last 30 years have raised a massive €2.9 billion for noble causes across Ireland. On this occasion, National Lottery today revealed a County by County breakdown of Lotto wins over 30 years. Here you can check the complete prize breakdown.

Dublin has created the most number of jackpot winners at 572, totaling over €872 million. It is followed by the second luckiest Lotto County Cork and third luckiest Lotto County Galway. Cork has produced 172 lotto winners (totaling €245 million), and Galway has produced 92 lotto winners (totaling €116 million) over last three decades.

Since the first day, 16th April 1988, Donegal (Ireland) has created 190 jackpot winners, and the total amount paid out for these winners is over €116 million. Brigid McGrath from Letterkenny was the first lucky Donegal winner. She scooped £147,059. Rita Power from Ballinasloe in Co. Galway was Ireland’s first ever Lotto millionaire. She won £1,200,937 on 6th May 1989.

Wednesday night’s Lotto winning numbers were announced. The numbers were 05, 19, 21, 42, 44, 57, and Bonus Number 18. 20 ticket holders won prizes worth £20,000, and the entries were AQUA 3166 4007, BLUE 4246 9225, BLUE 5172 9733, BLUE 7130 7203, GREY 3803 5698, GREY 5064 1265, JADE 0306 3272, JADE 3832 8809, JADE 7549 4167, JADE 7751 8771, NAVY 6095 1731, NAVY 8433 5830, PINK 1238 4773, PINK 6022 4751, PINK 9563 3911, PLUM 6723 4979, ROSE 0361 6151, RUBY 3161 4257, RUBY 3930 6114, and RUBY 5598 3066. In total, 771,392 ticket holders won prizes in January 31st draw.
