A Manassas Park, Virginia, electrician has taken five weeks to claim a winning lottery ticket worth $1 million. He bought the winning ticket for the July 8 drawing.
According to Lottery officials, Enrico Pelausa of Virginia took his time to get his finances in order. He has claimed a Powerball ticket for the July 8 drawing. Enrico bought the winning ticket from In & Out Mart, 9103 Mathis Ave., Manassas.
The claimed ticket matched all the first five numbers making it $1 million worth. In addition to this, Enrico used Easy Pick i.e., he chose the computer to randomly select the ticket numbers. “I guess I just got lucky,” Enrico expressed.
Above all, Enrico’s winning ticket was the only one in the nation to match the first five numbers in that drawing. He also had a hard time believing his luck. “I had to look at the ticket over and over and over and over, he added.
On being asked about his further plans, Enrico said, he plans to “stash it away for retirement.”
