Todd Tully, a resident of Covington, scooped a massive jackpot and turned half a million richer. He woke up at 3 a.m. to the exciting news after the Louisiana Lottery’s Lotto drawing held on Wednesday, August 9. Tully recalled his winning moment, “I woke up at 3 am realising the drawing was over and immediately checked my Lotto tickets.”

Being surprised and excited, the 46-year-old Lottery player then woke up everyone in the house. He was unable to go back to sleep after winning this massive jackpot. Todd is a frequent Lottery player. He buys Powerball and Lotto tickets every week. This time he bought his winning quick-pick ticket at Cigs-N-Things on Highway 59 (Abita Springs). The concerned store received $5,250 (1 percent of the prize) as a one-time selling bonus.

Tully received $397,500 after state and federal tax deductions. He has a plan to pay bills, buy a new house, and a new car. A vacation trip is also included in his wish list.
