No $2.2 Million Winner; Final Chase the Ace Draw Next Week

Chase the Ace is a favourite game of Newfoundland, Canada. Nobody has claimed its $2.2 million jackpot. The last and 44th draw will take place in the coming week. The final draw also guarantees a grand prize winner.

Grand le Pierre resident, Julie Labour-Mitchell, collected her consolation prize of $262,294. She pulled the king of clubs from the remaining nine cards in Wednesday night’s drawing. She would have taken home a whopping $2,211,411 if she had pulled the ace of spades. Labour-Mitchell did not have anything particular in mind. But yes, she might visit her son’s place.

However, the organisers are planning to hold one final draw next Wednesday. Tickets are likely to be drawn until someone chooses the ace of spades and takes home the total winnings. In case, the first ticket-holder doesn’t pull the ace of spades, he/she will take home a consolation prize up to $300,000. The consolation prize will be lowered to $25,000 until the winner is named.
