A 54-year-old Fenton, Michigan man wins the Lotto 47 jackpot of worth $4.4 million from Michigan Lottery. The Fenton lucky winner who chose to remain anonymous matched all six Lotto 47 numbers drawn on May 17.

The winning numbers were: 09-13-17-24-30-33

The old man bought the winning ticket from Smitty’s Exit 80, located at 2461 North Road in Fenton. He visited the Lottery Headquarters on Wednesday to claim his winnings. The lucky winner chose one-time lump sum payment of about $2.8 million rather than choosing the annuity.

The 54-year-old man said, “I’ve been playing Lotto 47 for years and I’ve won a few smaller prizes.” My wife and I sat down to check the winning numbers and we were so excited to see we had won, he added.

The Fenton winner plans to set up college funds for his children and then invest the remaining amount in his retirement. “It feels great to have a cushion and know I’ll be able to retire on my terms,” he concluded.
