Finally, the most awaited £51.7 m jackpot has been claimed. A UK player has claimed the winning prize a week after the draw took place. The £51.7 m EuroMillions jackpot went unclaimed after Friday 28 July. The National Lottery also launched an appeal to find the mystery winner.

However, no details have yet been revealed. Camelot said no details could be revealed until the winner decides whether to go public or not. So, nothing is yet known- including whether it is an individual ticket-holder or a syndicate, who sold the winning ticket, whether the winner has opted for sump sum amount or partial payment, etc.

Moreover, this is the fourth EuroMillions jackpot in the UK this year. One lucky lottery player took home £87 million in June.
