Ian Brooke picked up £1 million from the EuroMillions draw held on 28th July. He has become the third person at a pub in Lincolnshire (a county in the east of England) to conquer this prize. The 43-year-old who worked on Burringham Road (just behind the bar) for more than 18 years runs the Mallard in Scunthorpe.
The winner wants to share his winnings with two of his friends. Just after discovering the winning news, he went down to the pub where his friends were drinking. “We always had a gentleman’s agreement if one of us won we would share the prize,” Brooke said.
Ian planned to spend his winnings on a holiday home in Benidorm (Spain). He also wants to get a new car for each of his four children. However, the odds of winning Millionaire Maker are based on expected sales of UK Millionaire Maker entries.
