As per the National Lottery, the €7.5 million Lotto winning ticket was sold this week in Thurles, by a Co. Tipperary shop. Both the customers and staff of Thurles Shopping Centre are guessing about the €7 million richer ticket-holder. Yes, the lucky player bought his/her Wednesday night’s Quick Pick winning card in Eason in Thurles Shopping Centre.
The winning numbers for Wednesday’s draw were 8, 10, 11, 25, 28, 32, and bonus number 35. And the Quick Pick ticket has successfully matched all the winning numbers and scooped €7,545,870. Fiona Murphy said after checking her ticket, “It was not me; that is for sure. Pity, because I have it spent already in my head. There would be no stopping for me – €7 million of it would be gone before the weekend!” Deirdre O’Toole, the manager of the shop, hope that a local player is a lucky ticket-holder. In fact, the shop management has no idea about the winner. Mary Grace, National Lottery regional sales representative, has urged the winner to sign the winning ticket and keep it in a safe place.
However, a ticket holder, who bought his/her ticket at the Supervalu store Clones, Co. Monaghan, on 25 October, won €250,000 in Lotto Plus 2 jackpot. Here the winning numbers were 03, 05, 07, 11, 22, 32 and Bonus number 36.
