Four Powerball tickets in Virginia win $50,000 each

Although no one hit the Powerball jackpot in Saturday night’s draw, the Powerball drawing brought out winners in Virginia. Virginia alone sold a total of 119,251 Powerball tickets.

Since no one in Virginia, and elsewhere, matched all six numbers to scoop the winning jackpot, the Powerball jackpot sits at $650 million. On the other hand, four tickets in Virginia won $50,000 each. Each ticket managed to match the first four numbers along with the Powerball number. Quick Serve in Norfolk, Glory Mart in Ashland, 7-Eleven in Arlington and 7-Eleven in Glen Allen sold the winning tickets.

Above all, if anyone matches all the five numbers with Powerball number in Wednesday’s draw, s/he will have the option to either take the full $650 million jackpot in 30 annual payments or choose one-time cash option of $411.7 million. Also, the Powerball tickets purchased in Virginia go to K-12 public education in the Commonwealth.
