He/she can collect the prize in 30 payments over 29 years (with 5 percent annual increase) or $443.3 million as one-time cash option. The odds of winning this jackpot were 1 in 292 million. As per the statistics of Powerball website, 9,397,723 additional players have also won prizes totalling more than $135 million.

Moreover, it is the second jackpot only to a $1.6 billion jackpot shared by three people in 2016 (January). The next draw is set to offer an estimated $40 million. Powerball officials have expected to sell 170 million tickets from last Saturday to yesterday night’s drawing.
