An Atascadero, California, man thought he would come from with some leftovers from the family barbecue. However, he came home with $1 million.
Carlos Medina of Atascadero won the $1 million jackpot while returning to his home. According to California State Lottery news release, Medina stopped at Food 4 Less on El Camino Real to pick up supplies and a Scratchers ticket on the way to gathering.
Medina said, “I scratched it in the car and couldn’t believe when it said I won a million dollars”. He first scratched off the numbers that matched. He then scratched off the prize portion of the ticket. Meanwhile, he thought it would be great if it were a million-dollar winning ticket. Fortunately, it was a million dollar-winner ticket.
Medina plans to buy things for his family and invest the money. On the other hand, The Food 4 Less located at 8360 El Camino Real, will also receive a $5,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.
