A Bitcoin lottery has been launched in Ireland by Lottoland. It is subjected to follow the similar format to the traditional Spanish national lottery. The volatile cryptocurrency lottery has started from this Monday (Dec. 18, 2017); it was a jackpot of €14.2 million or 1,000 bitcoins in its first draw.
The lottery which is ready to boast six weekly draws (except Sunday) will enable the winners to collect their winnings either in bitcoins or cash equivalent. One in 14 million will be the winning odd of this game. Players need to pick six numbers out of 49 numbers. “Bitcoin is a worldwide phenomenon, and Lottoland is giving our customers the opportunity to get involved in the big league,” said Lottoland’s Irish country manager Graham Ross.
Bitcoin is a volatile cryptocurrency which was introduced in 2008 by an individual or group calling itself Satoshi Nakamoto. It is, however, the first digital currency to use cryptography for making secure and hidden transactions. The first digital currency soon turned into world’s most popular digital currency. Six numbers will be drawn. You will be declared as the winner of 1000 Bitcoin if you can match all six numbers. If you manage to match five numbers, you will win 1 Bitcoin. Ticket prize will be €3.50 per ticket and draw time will be 9.30 pm European Central Time.
