£6.75 million winning couple continues working in pub

A couple, Dean and Stella Hardman, could not leave their friends and customers at the Crown Inn where they have been working for a decade. They have remained the licensees since winning the £6.75million lottery jackpot in 2006. The pair is opening for business as usual as they have done it for 11 years.

The lucky ticket managed to match all five main numbers and one bonus ball. Before they won, Dean and Stella have played the lottery a couple of times. They, however, decided to buy a ticket for the massive £125 million EuroMillions draw.

“It was a regular night with the locals, Dean was on the other side of the table, and we were all checking our tickets as the draw telecasted on television,” said Stella. Buying the ticket was bucketing Dean down, but he made the 300-yard dash to the nearest shop. It was perhaps the finest move he ever made.
