As per the rules defined by Big Ticket Lottery, the winning amount will be given out for social works if the ticket is not claimed in 180 days. The players who are purchasing Big Ticket Lottery ticket costs AED500 are supposed to submit their phone number. However, Manekkudy bought his ticket with the number 024039.
Officials made an inquiry when they found that the submitted number is not reachable. Hence, they came to know that the winner boarded a flight to Kochi from Abu Dhabi on August 24. That was not the first occasion when a person from Kerala won the lucky draw. However, this is the first time when a winner has not claimed his/her winning amount even after so many days.
