28 arrested over illegal gambling in Malaysia

As per Sarawak CID chief, Datuk Dev Kumar MM Sree Shunmugam, Miri, Malaysia Police has so far arrested 28 people over the ongoing war against the illegal gambling in the city.
According to him, 26 males and 2 females have been arrested in three raids conducted between September 4 and September 10 in the city. The females are aged between 16 and 60.
Furthermore, Kumar also revealed that the police had seized 22 desktops, laptops and tablet computers along with RM2,509 in cash in the raids. He said that the weekly cyber gambling raids in the city revealed that the operators of illegal gambling continued their practices without any restriction or fear.
Moreover, Kumar also said that the police were confident about wiping out illegal cyber gambling in due time. Apart from this, Kumar also told that 10 other raids in different parts of Sarawak during the same period resulted in arrests of 10 people along with the seizure of RM4,524 in cash for operating the illegal 4D lottery.
