A ticket holder from Florida has been able to win Jan. 5, 2018 Mega Millions jackpot of $451 million as nation’s 10th-largest jackpot. Shane Missler, the multistate game-winner of Port Richey, preferred to get $281,874,999 as a lump-sum payment instead of more in annual instalments. His father and his lawyer came with him while claiming the prize. The lucky ticket was purchased at a 7-Eleven in Port Richey. And the retailer is likely to receive $100,000 as the ticket selling bonus. The winning numbers for multistate game’s Jan. 5, 2018 draw were 28, 30, 39, 59, 70, and Mega Ball 10. Even though he is young, he hopes to use the winnings for humanity. As per the lottery officials, the money will be paid to a trust.
“If there is one thing I have learned so far in my short time on this earth it is that those who maintain a positive mindset and stay true to themselves get rewarded. I look forward to the future. Although I am young, I have had a crash course this week in financial management. I think I am fortunate to have this incredible win,” said Missler.
