Concerned over declining ticket sales National lottery bosses may come up with big changes

With National Lottery bosses rolling their sleeves up in an attempt to make more people play the game, many significant changes in the store are sure to be implemented sooner or later. The declining ticket sales have become a major concern to National Lottery bosses.

Lotto players are turning away from the main Lotto draw which can be due to the extra balls which have increased the odds of winning. Camelot that runs the Lotto says, ticket prices could be slashed and extra balls can be discarded to boost the declining sales.

According to Birmingham Mail, Camelot made the changes in the hope rolling jackpots would attract more players but it seems the opposite has happened. The new format that has raffle draw creates one £1 million winner and 20 winners of £20,000. But, the balls were drawn 12 times before the previous jackpot worth £25 million was won.

Camelot now looks to conduct an in-depth review of strategy. “The review has just kicked off and is focusing on four key business areas,” a Camelot official said. “Plans for draw-based games are only one part of this wide-ranging review.”

The update will be coming later this year, and it is far too early to speculate on any potential outcomes, the Camelot spokesperson concluded.
