10 More Balls into National Lottery Pot

Some of the National Lottery players left the lottery game in the middle. Since top officials decided to add ten more balls into the pot in 2015, jackpot winning odds have reduced. The jackpot winning odds have reduced to 1 in 45 million now. Contestants now need to choose 6 out of 59 numbers, instead of 49, as it was previously. Following this addition, the organisers were expecting to draw more players by attracting them to win bigger prizes through jackpot rollovers. The move left the players frustrated who started abandoning the website.

There will be a £9.8 million rollover tomorrow. The uppermost prize could not be scooped for last three draws. Also, the combined total for the previous three draws was £332,694. One player won £78,147 for five numbers and the bonus on Saturday’s draw for five numbers and the bonus as compared to Ten years ago when five numbers out of six were worth £627,000. On Wednesday’s draw, two players shared £45,592 for matching five numbers and the bonus.

Following an 8.8% drop in ticket sales to £6.92billion in the past year a review of its strategy has been launched by Camelot. Jo Taylor, Camelot chairman, claimed to turn the things around owing to the fall in sales in 2016-17. Taylor thinks that people will take some time to accept this change.
