$1 million lotto winning ticket which was sold nearly a year ago (in the Muskoka area) is still under mystery. The winner has only 3 days left to claim the prize. Hence, it turns into a million dollar question around Ontario’s cottage country. Even though a prize of $1 million or over is less likely to get unclaimed, the concerned winner is requested to step forward before 06:00 p.m. on 24th July.
The winning numbers for 22nd July were: 3, 17, 26, 29, 39, 44, and 48.
The OLG, Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation, says that the ticket was sold somewhere near Huntsville, Ont. Moreover, anyone can play a Lotto game by investing $5. The odds of winning are 1:28 million. However, the prizes larger than $250,000 must be claimed through the OLG Prize Centre located in downtown Toronto. To get in touch with the officials, the winner can dial 1-800-387-0098.
As per the corporation, it is not uncommon for smaller prizes to go unclaimed, but high-dollar wins rarely go unnoticed. Surprisingly, 1.2% prizes in 2015-16 FY were not claimed by their winners. The largest town in Ontario’s Muskoka Region, Huntsville, is famous for cottagers and campers looking to get away from the Greater Toronto Area. Many locals of this region are betting a forgetful tourist (assuming him/her as a winner) and search their wallets.
