20-year-old store clerk is happy after touching the winning ticket

Mavis Wanczyk, a mother of two children, won the $758.7 million Powerball on August 23 drawing. She purchased her ticket at Pride Station & Store, Chicopee (CHIH’-Kuh-Pee), Massachusetts. Mavis picked the winning ticket herself. She used her family birthdays and lucky number four while doing so.

Moreover, Angelica Merced, a 20-year-old store clerk, sold the ticket to Mavis Wanczyk, the 53-year-old hospital worker. She becomes the first person to touch the winning ticket. She is happy to have touched winning ticket.

Merced could not believe it and got “really nervous” after she came to know that she sold the winning ticket to a regular customer at the store. Above all, she is “just really happy for her” and hopes she enjoys her winnings.
