Wayne County man wins $1 million in Michigan Lottery’s game

A Wayne County man has won $1 million through playing the Michigan Lottery’s Hit $500 instant game. He is also looking forward to a “new life” after winning the prize.

The winning man chose to remain anonymous. He bought his winning ticket at the Mobil gas station, located at 26320 Van Born Road in Dearborn Heights. He said, “I bought three tickets that day: Fast Cash, Golden Wild Time and the Hit $500 ticket.” He won $1 million on the third ticket.

Moreover, the lucky winner called his brother to come and see him immediately so that he could tell him about the win. He didn’t sleep much on the night he scratched the ticket. Next day he gathered all his family members and gave them a copy of the ticket to figure out themselves that he had won $1 million.

On the other hand, the lucky man claimed his big prize on Tuesday at Lottery headquarters. He opted for one time lump-sum payment of about $634,000, rather than an annuity. The player plans to pay off his student loan and buy a new home and new car.

“Winning is an amazing feeling. It’s like I have a new life now,” he concluded.
