A Ringtown man has landed into trouble after reportedly stealing hundreds of lottery tickets. He is facing several charges after stealing lottery tickets and passing fake cash.
William George Navitsky of Ringtown, Pennsylvania is charged with burglary, theft and other related charges following his arrest on July 14. State police said that the investigation began when the store employees of Exxon on Altamont Boulevard in West Mahanoy Township complained about the theft. The store employees discovered that approx $500 in higher priced Pennsylvania lottery tickets were missing around 09:00 p.m.
However, surveillance footage captured Navitsky indulging in the crime. The surveillance camera caught Navitsky reaching behind a secure area and grabbing the lottery tickets. According to state police, Navitsky grabbed the lottery tickets several times.
Moreover, police arrested Navitsky from a nearby motel. The arresting officer also found him in possession of drug-paraphernalia. Police also confirmed later that the man also made a purchase with a counterfeit $100 bill earlier in the evening.
Above all, Navitsky is currently prisoned at Schuykill County Prison on $20,000 bail.
