Jackpot winner arrested for sexual assault of a minor

Pedro Quezada, the winner of a $338 million Powerball jackpot, was arrested for sexually assaulting an underage girl for three years. He was involved in assaulting the girl when she was between the ages of 11 and 14 years. The former bodega owner is best known for his $338 million jackpot which was scooped in 2013. He decided to take the lump sum amount of $152 million after taxes. “I felt pure joy and happiness because I can help my family” the New Jersey man stated while collecting this amount.

As per his prosecutors, the girl was his only victim. He was charged with one second-degree sexual assault, two first-degree aggravated sexual assaults, and one second-degree assault.

The father of five would have to register as a sex offender under Megan’s law. He is likely to face 40 years in jail. He was sued by his long-term girlfriend, Inez Sanchez, in 2013. She claimed that she was entitled to a portion of the winnings. Pedro purchased the winning ticket with money both of them shared.
