Here’s the total spent and won by Kansans in lottery in last year

As the Powerball lottery jackpot is above the $500 million mark in Saturday’s draw, the ticket sales also have risen. There is no denying that Kansans love the lottery.

In last fiscal year from July 1, 2016 to June 30, 2017, Kansas people have spent more than $272 million dollars on lotto tickets in Sunflower State. On the other hand, according to Kansas Lottery spokeswoman Sally Lunsford, the total prizes worth around $150 million.

So, here’s a look at how much each county spent and won-

  • Sedgwick County total winnings-top of list-$24,200,916
  • Wallace county total winnings-bottom of list-$41,804
  • Most spent on tickets-Sedwick County-$47,828,610
  • Least spent on tickets–Wallace County-$91,947
  • Most spent per person-Gove County-$403.71
  • Most won per person-Gove County-$184.32
  • Least spent per person-Marion County-$22.07
  • Least won per person-Ottawa County-$19.98

Above all, the Kansas Lottery spent the total amount of $272,261,224 on lottery tickets from July 1, 2016 to June 30, 2017. Moreover, the total prizes paid by Kansas Lottery in all games are worth $149,709,855 from July 1, 2016 to June 30, 2017.
