$800,000 Lottery Ticket Bought in Lake Zurich Gas Station

A ticket holder who purchased a lottery ticket at The Pride of Lake County gas station in Lake Zurich scooped $800,000 recently in the Illinois Lottery’s Lucky Day Lotto. He/she has not yet stopped by the store to claim the prize.

Lottery spokesman Chris Gallo said “The winner or winners have not come forward yet, unfortunately. We will wait for them to come forward. They have a year to claim the prize.” He said that most Illinois Lottery winners come forward within a month. However, Lottery officials request the winner to sign the back side of the ticket.

The shop manager, Sara Milan, was excited to discover a customer had won such a significant amount. It was the largest winning lottery jackpot sold by The Pride. The store will receive $8,000 (1 percent of the winnings) as the ticket selling bonus.
