Good news for the lottery game fans of Minnesota. A new jackpot lottery game is to be introduced on Sunday, Nov. 12, 2017. It will be a new option in Lotto America. The new opportunity in Lotto America has paved the way for Powerball. It is getting a boost from the retired Hot Lotto game.

Including North Dakota, South Dakota, and Iowa, thirteen states are offering the new game. It will be like the original Lotto America game in terms of ticket value; i.e., $1. However, the Lotto America jackpots start at $2 million and grow until somebody wins the top price. Robert Doty, the Executive Director of Minnesota Lottery, said, “Our players like to have a variety of games and jackpots to choose from. The lottery is a win for Minnesotans because a portion of every dollar played helps Minnesota’s environment and important state services.” The first Lotto America drawing, which is estimated to be held on Wednesday, Nov. 15, will be offering $15 million.

It initiates the punters to select five numbers from a slot of 1 through 52 and one Star Ball from a slot of 1 through 10. A player can prefer the Quick Pick option or the random selection in choosing the numbers. It also allows the ticket holders to multiply non-jackpot prizes by two to five times.
