A Quincy man has come forward to claim the $1,000 a day for life prize. David Jordan, 54, of Quincy, Massachusetts bought a winning ticket in Garrison on Thursday.
As per the press release, Jordan found a penny with heads up on the ground and picked it up before purchasing the winning ticket. Moreover, on Friday morning Jordan called his employer and received a day off after sharing the good news.
According to the release, Jordan chose to take the cash option prize instead of annuity payout. He will get $5,750,000 before taxes. First of all, he plans to buy a home for his daughter. He also said to buy himself a new home in the near future.
Above all, $1000 a day payout has a guaranteed minimum of 20 years. It becomes a part of winner’s estate if they passed away before that timeframe. The winner usually has 180-days deadline from the date of the draw to claim the winning prize at Kentucky Lottery headquarters in Louisville.
