Two Arkansans jointly claimed $1 million lottery jackpot

A couple, Kelly Buckley and Anthony Shepard, from Arkansas, has claimed $1 million lottery prize on Wednesday. In adherence with the state lottery officials, they scooped this prize from Saturday’s Powerball drawing. Kelly and Anthony correctly picked five numbers, but they did not pick the correct Powerball.

The lucky ticket was purchased at Tobo’s 66 at 1200 W. Wilson St. in Fayetteville. An amount of $10,000 (1 percent of the jackpot) will go to the shop as a ticket selling bonus. ‘’We did not win the Powerball [jackpot]. That was how I found out we would be won a million,” She said to a news release. She wants to put her winnings towards a college trust fund.

Anthony, the concrete layer, first shared this news with Kelly and his lawyer. He wants to get back to his job on Thursday. As per Bishop Woosley, Arkansas Scholarship Lottery Director, 58 other tickets that have sold in Arkansas won at least $1 million each.
