Saturday’s Powerball jackpot has reached $53 million

As there was no top winner for the last weekend’s draw, the Powerball jackpot has reset from $40 million to $53 million for its September 20 draw. So, the upcoming draw (September 23) which is scheduled for $53 million is offering $33.7 million as the cash option.

Winning Numbers for September 20

Main Numbers (white): 39, 48, 53, 67, and 68

Powerball Number (Red): 26

Power Play Number: 03

One ticket holder from Indiana matched all five white numbers drawn and scooped $1 million. Interestingly, that player did not try to play the Power Play option. The Power Play would have doubled up his/her winnings to $2 million. There were 448,911 winners in Wednesday’s drawing who won at least $4 each. Among them, 13,139 ticket holders were from Michigan.

A punter is required to invest $2 for participating in this game. The Indiana state holds maximum numbers (39) of jackpot winners. It is followed by Wisconsin and Kentucky with 23 and 21 winners respectively.
