Helen Rhone, retired hospital inspector of Wadesboro, North Carolina is going to enjoy a better retirement. She has won $110,000 Cash 5 jackpot after beating the odds of 1-in-749,398. Rhone matched all five numbers on July 17 drawing.

Rhone bought her $1 winning Quick Pick ticket from Tim’s Convenience Store on East Caswell Street in Wadesboro. She said, “I was ecstatic and could’ve jumped through the ceiling.” The retired winner claimed her winning prize at Raleigh headquarters on Wednesday. Rhone received a check of $76,451 after state and federal withholdings. She further plans to save the money.

Meanwhile, tonight’s drawing has a top prize of worth $518,000. The Cash 5 jackpot for this month starts at $100,000 up from $50,000 due to the Cash 5 $100 K Days promotion.
