A North Texas Mega Millions winning ticket is about to expire

A Mega Millions winning ticket is about to expire on Aug 18. The winner must claim the $1,000,002 winning Mega Millions ticket at Texas Lottery claim centre before August 19. The expiration date to postmark the ticket, if claimed by mail, is August 20.

7-Eleven Store on North George Bush Freeway in Garland sold the winning ticket. The winning ticket matched five numbers of the total six numbers drawn for the February 21 drawing.

The winning numbers were: 9, 21, 30, 32, and 75 with

Mega Ball: 9

The executive director of Texas Lottery, Gary Grief said, “We encourage Mega Millions players to take another look at their ticket.” He further urged to check the numbers again. If the numbers match, then the player should immediately sign the back of the ticket and contact the Texas Lottery.

A lottery ticket holder cannot claim any prize for a draw game after the expiration of the 180 days deadline. However, the deadline can be extended for certain eligible military personnel. Also, if no one claims the winning within the 180 days deadline, the unclaimed prize is used for programs authorized by the Texas Legislature.

Above all, the Mega Millions draw is played by picking up five different numbers from 1 to 75 and Mega Ball number from 1 to 15. Moreover, to scoop the jackpot, you need to match all the five numbers drawn along with the Mega Ball. You also get a chance to convert your small winning into big wins. Players matching fewer numbers can choose Megaplier for $1 more per play to multiply their winnings by two, three four or five times.
