Much awaited £87m EuroMillions jackpot finally claimed

Finally, a claim has been made for the much awaited seventh-biggest ever National Lottery prize worth £87m. It was already announced on Saturday that someone is going to become wealthier than celebrities Ed Sheeran and Daniel Radcliffe.

A lucky British lottery player has claimed the Friday draw’s massive £87m EuroMillions jackpot and has become the seventh-biggest ever National Lottery winner. The lottery was won by a British ticket holder, and on subject to validation, the winner will receive the total prize worth £87,570,000, National Lottery’s operator Camelot said.

However, it is yet not confirmed whether the Friday night’s EuroMillion jackpot winner has decided to remain anonymous or will go public with his big win. “It’s great that the ticket holder has come forward to claim their amazing prize,” a National Lottery official stated. The winning prize will be paid once the banks are open, and the claim is validated. The winner can choose to go in public or remain anonymous.

Friday’s EuroMillions Draw Resulted in the £87m jackpot, and soon all Britons were urged to check their tickets and claim the winning prize. The winning balls number were- 17-35-39-47-50 and the Lucky Star numbers were 6 and 8. Six lottery ticket-holders, including two from the UK, each won the second prize of £200,047.10 in Friday night’s draw.

With two lucky winners in February who scooped £19.9 million and £14.5 million respectively, this is the third EuroMillions jackpot win in the UK this year. “We look forward to supporting the seventh biggest lottery winner in the UK as they celebrate their life-changing win,” the National Lottery official added later.

The winner who has claimed the winning prize will now be £87m richer. With the total winning prize, the winner is believed to worth more than the singing sensation Ed Sheeran (£52m) and Harry Potter fame Daniel Radcliffe (£78m).
