George Meeks, a factory supervisor, has scooped a $750,000 lottery prize. The ticket holder from Gastonia expressed “I have been up all weekend. I have not been able to sleep at all. I thought I only won $750 at first. It took me a while to realise that I won $750,000. I was very excited once I figured it out.”
The winner thinks that he will be able to sleep after he claimed a $750,000 lottery prize. He stopped at the Raceway on South York Road (Gastonia) to get gas, but he purchased a ticket for Saturday’s Jumbo Bucks.
The mill supervisor who claimed his prize at lottery headquarters in Raleigh could not believe the same when he scratched the ticket. He collected $521,260 after required state and federal tax withholdings. He is planning to use the winnings in taking care of his family. However, one $750,000 prize remains unclaimed.
