2 Jackpots in 10 years! A woman from Maryland (United States) claimed a $50,000 Powerball jackpot 10 years after she won the $250,000 lottery jackpot. The 59-year-old bought the Powerball ticket for the August 12 drawing, but she did not realize that she had won a cash prize.
Her name was not released due to certain reasons. She kept the ticket in the bottom of her purse. “I pulled it out when I cleaned a few things out of there and when I checked it at the scanner it said, ‘Cash at Lottery.’ I didn’t know what that meant.” To explore it, she visited lottery headquarters on August 25. This prize which came as a gift is going to help her in paying the due bills.
The 59-year-old opened her own business a decade back when she scooped the $250,000 jackpot. She said she has continued to play the Lotto ever since. “I probably buy 20 tickets a year,” she concluded.
