Man scoops $1.2 million off a $2 scratcher lottery ticket

According to Lottery officials, a man’s longtime routine has finally paid him big. A man won $1.2 million off a scratcher lottery ticket that he bought at a bowling alley in Dublin.

Albert Tirnetta has scooped $1.2 million prize money through just a $2 Set of Life Scratcher ticket. He bought the winning ticket from Dublin Bowl located at 6750 Regional Street. Tirnetta added that he routinely plays the Lottery, but he only plays Scratchers. Also, he purchases all the lottery tickets on the same day every week.

Tirnetta added, “I go to the machine and buy $8 worth of tickets…the $2 tickets.” He is still to choose whether to accept a $696,000 lump sum prize amount or take the entire $1.2 million spread out over 25 years in $4,000 monthly installments.

Tirnetta said he had done a great job by steadily paying off his major bills. He also added that this win has come at a right time because a family member has experienced medical problems. Tirnetta said, “My son and I take care of her right now. If things get worse, we’ll probably have someone come in.”

Above all, Dublin Bowl will receive a bonus check for $6,000 from CA Lottery doe selling the winning ticket. To know more about instant games, draws and winners, visit the official Lottery website.
