Ireland Group Collects €29 Million Jackpot

A syndicate from the western part of Ireland travelled to Dublin to claim its EuroMillions Jackpot win. Wishes to remain anonymous, it has collected its €29 million yesterday. The winning lottery ticket was bought on 6th July. The Umesh Kumar’s Garryduff XL Store on Pound Road, Castlebar sold the winning ticket. It has been a week of irregular emotions, according to the group members.

A winner from the group stated that this has come as a huge shock. This will certainly make life easier for us all and will secure our futures.” A spokesperson from the group has declared the Friday’s win. As per his words, EuroMillions is only now sinking in.

Dermot Griffin, National Lottery Chief Executive, said that he was happy to hand over the winning cheque to the group members. He said, “Every week in Ireland we have around 100,000 players who wins a cash prize on EuroMillions.” Mr. Griffin also said there it is definitely a case of the “luck of the Irish” when it comes to EuroMillions. He always expected happy winners to come inside National Lottery winner’s room. The Jackpot authorities have recommended the winners to get independent financial and legal advice. Moreover, this is the 11th EuroMillions Jackpot win for Ireland. The “luck of the Irish” appears when it comes to EuroMillions. However, the last winner was a Dublin work syndicate who scooped €88.5 million Jackpot in January.
