A Hemingway man won the lottery twice in one night. The winner cashed in two winning tickets each of worth $200,000. The winning ticket was sold at Betty’s Quick Stop on N. Main St. in Hemingway, South Carolina for the Palmetto Cash 5 drawing on June 17.
On being asked about his further plans, the Saturday winner said, “I’m blessed and I’m taking a vacation”. The winner later stated that he buys two identical tickets for the same drawing. This is the latest trend seen in Lottery these days and more players are following this. The winning numbers for Saturday draw, June 17 were 4-6-8-10-37. Spending the extra $1 for Power-up multiplied the $100,000 win to $200,000 when a “2” was drawn, South Carolina lottery officials said.
The odds of winning $200,000 playing Palmetto Cash 5 are 1 in 1,003,884. The odds of winning it twice in the same night are really lucky. Betty’s Quick Stop in Hemingway that sold the winning ticket will also receive a $4000 commission.
