Hampton woman wins top prize in Cash 5 drawing

Jacqueline Hill of Hampton, New Hampshire matched all five numbers for the June 18 drawing and won $100,000 playing Virginia Lottery’s Cash 5 game. Hill works in medical billing and has no immediate plans for her winnings, lottery officials said.

“It was a night to remember,” Hill said. She was sitting on the bed with her iPad when she decided to check the results and realized she’d matched all five numbers. The winning numbers were 3-6-9-24-27. She selected those numbers because they just came to her. “I think I won $100,000,” she stated later.

She purchased her winning ticket at Todd Lane convenience store located at 1814-J Todds Lane in Hampton. According to officials, Cash 5 drawing is held daily at 1:59 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. and the chances of winning the $100,000 top prize are 1 in 278,256.
