Gladys Salzwedel, a home-health nurse from Oakley, Michigan, all five white balls drawn in Friday’s (Oct. 27, 2017) Mega Millions drawing to scoop the jackpot worth $5 million. Her $1 million prize was multiplied by five because she purchased an optional multiplier along with the ticket. She bought this lucky ticket at the Admiral gas station at 12800 Brady Road in Chesaning.
Salzwedel is a nurse by profession. “I play Mega Millions and Powerball at the Admiral station religiously. I checked my Powerball ticket the Monday after the drawings, but I was in a rush, so I stuffed the Mega Millions ticket back in my purse,” the 68-year-old nurse expressed. She called her husband after knowing that a big winner sold at the Admiral. It hit her mind because she had not checked her ticket yet. The lucky card was kept in her purse. So, she requested her husband to get the ticket out of her purse.
The $5 million win has initiated a retirement plan in her mind. Apart from this, she wants to pay off all of her bills and help her family. Mega Millions lottery offers two weekly drawings on Tuesdays and Fridays. An aspirant is supposed to invest $2 for taking participation in any of the Mega Millions games.
