Eskimos Jackpot Breaks CFL Record, Rolls Over $435K

Eskimos game has become as fierce as the clashes on the football field. The Edmonton Eskimos already took the record while appearing in Canadian Football League. Eskimos tweeted that the 50/50 jackpot had inflated to $265,000 during the kickoff time of Eskimos vs. Ottawa Redblacks match. The tweet came from Edmonton’s Commonwealth Stadium. At 10:30 pm, the team announced that the winning ticket number would be announced on social media after the match, not during the match.

Edmonton Eskimos’ 50/50 prize has carried over the second time in three years. July 2014 was the most recent time when the jackpot rose to $348,534. Connor Croken, a 20-year-old, ended up the win. As per the statement delivered by Eskimos to Global News, 60 people would be on the concourse selling tickets on Friday night. No seller would be alone. “I will take $100 worth,” said Allan Watt, the vice president of this football club, on Wednesday.

The team has a different plan to deal with those who wished to buy large quantities of tickets. Team members will be going to the people via Gate 2 and Gate 13, two different sides of the concourse. The Eskimos also said that they expected a turnout of 36,000 to 37,000 fans on Friday night. However, the officials didn’t declare the total attendance.
