Doncaster Lottery winner plans a lifetime trip

A lucky pensioner of Doncaster has scooped £1000 jackpot in the weekly draw run by South Yorkshire. Sheila Martin, 70-years old, of Bessacarr has won the weekly draw jackpot run by South Yorkshire’s only children’s hospice, Bluebell Wood.

Martin is about to take a lifetime trip across the country. She is planning a cruise around Britain. She wants to visit all those places she has always wanted to see but not been able to do so. Martin says that winning the windfall is a dream comes true.

She said, “I’ve always dreamed of taking a trip all round Britain but this windfall means I can go ahead and book it now.” According to her, Bluebell Wood lottery is a very worthwhile cause, and everyone should play it.

Martin adds that you’re helping families in desperate need at difficult times in their lives. And, you also get a chance to win a prize. She has been playing the Lottery since its launch. It was launched by a charity that looks after children and young adults with life-shortening and life-threatening conditions. Moreover, Martin also scooped two prizes of £10 and one of £50. But she was amazed to hear £1000 win.

Above all, the lottery uses all the profits to support families facing the toughest of time across the region. The weekly draw ticket just costs £1. There is £1,200 worth of prizes in total. It also includes a first prize worth £1000, and £50 and £10 prizes. The draw also gives a chance to win a rollover prize of up to £5,200.

It costs over £4 million for Bluebell Wood to keep functioning. Corporate and community fundraising help in raising around 90% of these funds while 10% comes from government sources.
