‘Cruise to Alaska,’ on the bucket list for this $1 m winner

A Michigan woman has won $1 million in the Michigan Lottery’s Lucky 7’s Multiplier instant game. She is also planning a trip to Alaskan.

The lucky lottery player, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased her winning ticket at the Marathon gas station, located at 8350 Telegraph Road in Taylor. She said, “When I scratched the ticket off, my first thought was: ‘OK, what did I do wrong?’”

Moreover, the lottery winner skipped office that morning and waited for the Lottery office to open so that she could call and ask what was going on. She was stunned after talking and getting confirmation from Lottery that the ticket was worth $1 million. She opted for one-time lump sum payment of about $634,000 rather than an annuity.

Furthermore, the winner plans to some home repairs, take a cruise to Alaska and invest the remaining amount. She adds, “Winning has given me a better outlook on life. I feel more secure than I did yesterday and my future seems so much brighter.”

The Lucky 7’s Multiplier lottery game launched in January 2017. Till now, lottery players have won $32 million. Each $10 ticket offers a chance to win prizes from $10 to $1 million.

You can purchase the Lottery instant games tickets online or at 11,000 retailers across the state. Last year, in 2016, lottery players scooped nearly $817 million playing instant games.
