Jackpot winning fund had helped a couple to become parents. John and Katy-Anne were desperate to start a family. But, they thought they would never be able to have a baby of their own. A surrogate mother handed over the little dream parcel and invited them to enjoy the most important moment of their life. The baby, Grayson, was born on 3rd January at Heartlands Hospital in Birmingham.
“I was in the hospital for three days, and Katy-Anne McGlade and John never left my side. We still talk at least once a week,” says Sarah Holder. Holder and McGlade were in constant contact for the nine months. The story of love and self-sacrifice started three years back when the couple won Postcode Lottery worth £32,000. Katy-Anne along with her hubby had been facing up to a lifetime without the child. So, they decided to use that money for a baby.
“It is amazing that a little boy is here and is ours,” says the 33-year-old, Katy-Anne. She did not even know her husband participated in the Postcode Lottery. Without that win, they could never have Grayson. He will always know Sarah as his Aunty, as per the happy mother. Single Sarah, who lives with her brother Craig and mother Carol in Birmingham, had decided to become a surrogate mom. She signed up to Surrogacy UK in May 2015 when she was just 22. Her aim was to help a childless couple become parents. It was her first baby.
