A convenience store in Union County, New Jersey sold the Wednesday’s $1 million Powerball ticket. According to state lottery officials, the lucky winner purchased the ticket at County Farms on Springfield Avenue in Berkeley Heights.
Wednesday’s winning numbers were: 1-2-18-23 and 61.
The Powerball number was- 9.
However, no other $1 million ticket was sold in the country. And no one hit the $155 million jackpot. However, if the lucky winner had spent an extra $1, the value of the prize would have doubled.
On the other hand, the World News and Tobacco in North Delsea Drive in Vinelanda sold a $50,000 ticket. The ticket matched all the four numbers along with the Powerball. Now, the Saturday’s Powerball jackpot is worth $172 million. The cash option of winning the jackpot is $106.4 million.
All the Powerball tickets sold since January 2010 in New Jersey, cost $2 each. Moreover, the odds of winning the Jackpot are 1 in 292,201,338. And, the chance of winning $1 million is 1 in 11,688,053. Forty-four states including Washington D.C., Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands play the lottery’s Powerball game.
