Co-workers and residents of West Concord, Brian Aase and Rich Reyant have won a $100,000 lottery prize. Both like to buy a couple of scratch tickets when they stop to get breakfast.
Reyant said they were hoping to win enough to buy lunch on Wednesday morning. However, Reyant scratched the first ticket and didn’t win. He said, “Man, it would be nice to get something.” Aase responded, “One of these days.”
However, it was sooner than expected when Reyant uncovered a $100,000 win on the second ticket. Soon, Reyant said, Hey, Aase! Hey, Aase! Am I reading this right?’ I was shaking.”
Moreover, by the end of lunchtime, they both were at the Lottery’s Roseville office claiming a $100,000 prize. Kwik Trip, located at 1220 S. Oak St. in Owatonna sold the winning ticket.
Lottery players have won more than $6.5 billion. More than $1.1 billion has helped preserve restore and protect Minnesota’s environment in each of the 87 counties, and $1.6 billion has helped fund state programs including education, public safety and health and human services.
