A Catlin man scoops $1M in Illinois Lottery

As per a press release from Illinois Lottery, Catlin’s Jake Essen wins $1 million prize money in Illinois Lottery prize. He presented his $30 winning Million $$ Match ticket at the State Lottery Prize Center in Springfield. Essen said, “You can’t win if you don’t play.”

Essen is a 54-year old married man who lives in Catlin along with his four children and two grand children. He plans to share the money with his family and also buy a new house. Essen bought the winning ticket with his wife from Little Nashville Restaurant, 11700 State Route 127 Nashville.

In the release, Essen said, “When we saw the $1,000,000 prize amount, I borrowed a pen from our waitress and immediately signed the back of my ticket.” The Little Nashville Restaurant will also receive a bonus check for $100,000 prizes or 1 % of the winning ticket for selling the winning ticket.

Moreover, Million $$ Match is a $30 instant ticket lottery game. It offers 3 top prizes of $5 million each, 5 prizes of $1 million each, and 14 prizes of $100,000 each. On the other hand, three $5 million prizes, four $1 million and 10 $100,000 prizes are yet to claim.
