Due to the technical difficulties faced by Virginia Lottery, it sold only 180 Mega Millions tickets that are blessed with zero chance of winning the Tuesday’s title. If you have purchased a ticket in Virginia for Friday night’s draw, you might have 0.00000033 percent chance of winning the top prize.
All the 180 tickets, accidentally sold in Virginia between 10:45 and 11:51 pm on October 27th, have 0.00 percent chance of scooping the title. The lottery had upgraded its gaming system last week, and the 180 tickets were produced as per the previous rules. Lottery officials urged 180 ticket-holders to get a refund and replacement their tickets. So to get that, they can call on 804-692-7778 before 10:45 pm, on Tuesday. All players, who are interested in coming for replacement, will be honoured with smaller prizes.
However, an update went into effect on Saturday’s (October 28, 2017) Mega Millions game. It was a $40 million jackpot which offered the tickets at $2. For winning the top prize, players had to match five white balls from 1 through 70 and the Mega Ball number from 1 through 25. Players had to choose five numbers from a field of 1 through 75 and the Mega Ball from a slot of 1 through 15 in its previous game.
